Happy Holidays from The Voice

Enjoy that special feeling of freedom during this winter holiday

It’s Holiday Time! Students are excited for the next highlight of the year: Winter Break. A break that lasts for almost an entire MONTH! But that invites a question:

What exactly can you do during this holiday?

People I’ve spoken to are hopeful for a flurry of snow this break, so if it snows, snowball fights must be at the top of your list. But what else? Are you going on vacation? Are you staying here? Well, during this time of year, there is so much to do!

Some ideas for those staying close to home:

  • Go ice skating (even if it doesn’t freeze, you can go to an artificial ice rink, which is a great way to still get your holiday on! E.g. rink on Museumplein)

  • Go to Efteling Winter (December and January are great times to go to the Efteling because they make it beautiful and super Christmassy!)

  • Go skiing!

  • Eat oliebollen (traditional Dutch food), which are traditionally eaten on New Year’s Eve!

  • Drink hot chocolate and cozy up by the fire!

Comment down below the article and tell us what you’re up to over the break!

We are all on the edge of our seats waiting to go on break, and there is so much to celebrate. It is officially the end of the first semester, marking half the year! Even more than that? It is almost 2025! Soon, there will be magic in the air. A new year is always full of new beginnings. Look beyond the horizon! You may see something new. Many holidays are coming: Hanukkah, Christmas, Three Kings Day, Diwali, and so much more! Many things will happen in the New Year, which you can participate in! Such as joining a play or joining a winter-season sport!

The countdown for the holidays has begun!

It’s Holiday Time!

Have fun and be safe!
