Hello! I am Leni, and I am a senior at ISA. I am very passionate about writing both fiction and nonfiction. Writing articles is a way for me to connect with global and local events, challenge my thinking, and engage with other students at ISA. I am also interested in art and global affairs, which I can delve into by writing articles. My passions include reading and drawing, as well as other creative things, such as playing the piano and sewing. I hope that I can explore my creativity through writing, as it is definitely something I want to pursue in the future. A fun fact about me is that I do karate, which contrasts my other hobbies.

Hello! My name is Dalya and I am currently a senior at ISA. I am very passionate about world news, and international affairs, and I am the editor of the World News beat in the ISA Voice Newspaper. I am interested in pursuing an international relations degree in university, and hope to carry this passion into the ISA Voice and inspire younger students into this subject. In my free time, I like to to on runs, walks, read, listen to music, and bake.

My name is Olivia and I am a current senior. My main interests are in the sciences, specifically biology and chemistry, but I’m a fan of contemporary affairs, counterculture and art. The newspaper is an initiation for me to share these passions with our school, and to hopefully nurture curiosity and excitement for future scientific prospects.

Hello! My name is Lamija, and I'm an 11th grader at ISA. I have been part of the ISA community for four years now and joined the Voice team in 9th grade. I have a passion for writing science articles, but I have also covered topics like local events in Amsterdam, school activities, and interviews. In my free time, I enjoy editing articles as well. Volleyball has been one of my greatest passions for the past eight years, and I have played it consistently. As I aspire to become a doctor, I’m pursuing all three sciences—physics, biology, and chemistry—within my IB diploma. Writing for the newspaper allows me to explore scientific topics while fostering creativity and honing my writing skills, especially as I take English Language and Literature at a higher level.

Hello, my name is Anton and I am in Grade 11. I like writing articles about the latest music trends, album releases, and different artists, and sharing it with the readers of The Voice. I joined the newspaper because I want to share my interest and also because I used to do newspapers in my previous school. Hey, I’m Freya, and I’m in my last year at ISA (finally). I was initially drawn to the Newspaper by my friends, but I’ve always had a love for reading and writing. While I plan to study physics at university, I spend most of my free time reading—so feel free to hit me up for book recs. Outside of school, I play and coach football, and I’m a huge Arsenal fan. A fun fact about me: I collect CDs because I figured it’d be a cheaper hobby than collecting records.

Hi! My name is Laura Torres. I am brazilian and in Grade 11. This is my fourth year here at ISA! For The Voice I focus on writing articles usually about global issues in order to inform others about world events. I also enjoy working on the layout of the articles including finding images for them or organizing the website. However I also look forward to helping out with the marketing of the club. I joined this club as writing has always been a passion of mine and I felt this club was a great opportunity to flourish with this skill. Hi, I’m Junie. I’m currently an 9th grader and joined a newspaper club to practice article-style writing, focusing on a good balance between concision and elaboration. Furthermore, I also enjoy the chance to write with my friends in the newspaper club. Some of my other academic interests include humanities, psychology and language, and some of my hobbies include field hockey, violin and horseback riding. I think world news is interesting from a certain perspective because we can comment about the world around us, and everything that is happening like politics, current events and new discoveries. I think campus news is special, because that really is what our school newspaper is all about. I can’t wait to interview people and write things for the Voice. I love literature and language, more than anything I love to write, read and talk. My hobbies are singing, basketball and track and field. My name is Gabriel, and I am in 11th grade (as of writing this) . In addtion to being in The Voice, I run the Warhammer Club. I greatly enjoy writing about pop culture and film, and being able to discuss what I love is the primary reason I joined The Voice. While I was last an attendant of The Voice in 9th grade, I'm extremely excited to return to writing articles. My hobbies include model building, reading, and Warhammer. I hope to incorporate my hobbies into what I write, so that others can experience what I enjoy.
